4H Interview Contests provide the experience of preparing a resume, writing a cover letter, and interviewing for a job. These are important life skills that will help you succeed!
There are several jobs to choose from in each age category:
Junior (9 - 11 years old)
Intermediate (12 - 14 years old)
Senior (15 - 18 years old)
Choose the fictional job for which you plan to apply, and then use your real-life experience and education to write a resume and cover letter and prepare for an interview in the Interview Contest.

North Central Sectional Citizenship Weekend
Just a reminder to pass the word as the registration deadline comes near for the North Central Sectional Citizenship Weekend.
The deadline is September 5th for registration and it will be a weekend you do not want to miss!
Open to 4-H members 13 years old and up. Registration in a Citizenship project is NOT required to attend. We will be participating in various aspects of citizenship, including government, history and community service. Come learn how to motivate and mobilize citizenship activities in your community. Plans include:
- Nature Walk
- Stations to build your citizenship outreach skills
- Fun time and a special surprise!
- Networking with other teens in your section
- Community Service projects
Cost: $45; includes all activities, lunch, dinner, and snacks on Saturday, breakfast and snacks on Sunday.
When: September 29 & 30th
Where: Center for Land-Based Learning Farm 5265 Putah Creek Road, Winters, Ca 95694
Times:
Saturday check-in 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Sunday check-out Noon
What to bring:
- sleeping bag
- tent
- clothes that can get dirty
- change of clothes and toiletries
- a flash light
Please bring adult tube socks to donate to Operation Stand Down.
